A family business, since 1993.
Snowbirds Auto Connection has transported vehicles across Canada and into the United States since 1993. We are not a call centre, not a broker network, and not a corporation. We are a family business and a company-owned and operated carrier — and after over thirty years, we still operate like one.

Snowbirds Auto Connection (SAC) is a family-owned vehicle transport carrier founded in 1993 and still run by the same family, today from our yard in Concord, Ontario. We operate a fleet of fourteen company trucks with our own employed drivers, hold Ontario CVOR 134-578-571 and US FMCSA registration USDOT 861379 / MC-379482, and carry $5 million in liability and $1 million in cargo coverage. We are a carrier, not a broker: the company you call is the company that picks up, transports and delivers your vehicle. Call 416-638-0001 — real people answer, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.

It started with one car and one problem.
In 1993, Ron Ohayon was trying to do something simple.
His mother needed her car shipped from Toronto to Florida. She was a snowbird — one of thousands of Canadians who spent their winters in the south — and driving the car down herself wasn't the right option. Ron started looking for a reliable auto transport company to handle it.
What he found was an industry that didn't inspire much confidence. Brokers who couldn't give straight answers. Pricing that changed after booking. Companies that were hard to reach and harder to hold accountable. For a son trying to take care of his mother's vehicle — something she depended on — it wasn't good enough.
So Ron did what entrepreneurs do when they find a problem nobody is solving well. He built the solution himself.
Snowbirds Auto Connection opened in 1993 with a clear purpose: give Canadian drivers a vehicle transport company they could actually trust. One that answered the phone. One that showed up when it said it would. One that treated every vehicle with the same care it would give its own. And one that was a company-owned and operated carrier — with its own trucks and its own drivers — so there would never be a hand-off to a stranger.
Over thirty years later, that purpose hasn't changed. The routes have expanded, the team has grown, the processes have been refined — but the company Ron built is still a family business, still a company-owned and operated carrier, still run on the same principles, and still answering the phone the same way it always has.

Over thirty years of showing up.
Today, SAC has been shipping vehicles under the same name, run by the same family, for over thirty years — serving snowbirds, corporate relocations, students, military families, oil patch workers, and anyone who needs a vehicle moved safely across Canada or into the United States.
SAC owns and operates its entire carrier fleet — every truck, every piece of equipment. Every driver is a direct SAC employee, vetted before hire, trained to our operational standard, and required to maintain a clean driving record. This is not standard in the vehicle transport industry. Most companies operate as brokers — taking bookings and handing vehicles to third-party carriers from a load board. That is not how SAC operates. The accountability that comes from owning our fleet and employing our drivers is part of what over thirty years of returning customers are actually buying when they book with us.
We hold all required transport credentials in Canada and the United States, carry $5 million in liability coverage and $1 million in cargo insurance, and arrange customs clearance through licensed bonded agents on both sides of the border.
The principles we've run this company on since day one.
SAC is a carrier, not a broker. We don't post customers' vehicles to load boards, and we don't hand them to strangers. The long haul is on an SAC truck with an SAC driver in almost every case. When a full-size carrier can't reach your door, when your address is somewhere we don't run every week, or on the odd run our own schedule can't cover, your vehicle goes to one of our trusted carriers — people we have known and worked with for years, who help us and whom we help in turn. Chosen by us, accountable to us, never posted to a load board. Your vehicle never leaves the people we trust. This isn't a logistical detail — it's a statement of accountability. When something goes wrong in vehicle transport, it almost always traces back to a broker handing a vehicle to someone with no relationship to the company the customer trusted.
We are a company-owned and operated carrier.
Every truck in our fleet belongs to SAC. Every driver works for SAC, is trained by SAC, and is held to our standard.
We answer the phone.
When you call SAC, a real person picks up. Not a phone tree, not an automated system, not a voicemail. A member of our team who knows the business and will give you a straight answer.
We do what we say we're going to do.
We show up for pickup on the date we confirmed. We deliver within the window we quoted. We communicate proactively so you're never left wondering.
We treat every vehicle like it belongs to someone who matters.
Because it does. Your car isn't cargo to us — it's something you depend on, something you've worked for, something your family uses.
We handle everything so you don't have to.
Cross-border documentation, customs clearance, carrier coordination, inspection reports, delivery confirmation — none of that lands on you.
We tell the truth.
About pricing. About timelines. About what our service includes. About the fuel surcharge and how it can change — always in advance, always with the option to cancel. We'd rather give you an honest answer than a comfortable one that leads to a disappointed customer.
The people behind your shipment.
Ron Ohayon — Founder
Ron started SAC in 1993 with a clear vision: a company-owned and operated carrier that would give Canadian drivers a vehicle transport experience they could trust. He has spent over three decades building the carrier relationships, the operational processes, and the customer service culture that define SAC today.
Isaac Ohayon — General Manager
Isaac grew up in this business and now runs the day-to-day operations. His focus is on making SAC's processes better, faster, and more reliable — building the systems and the team that let SAC serve more customers without ever compromising the personal service the company was built on.
Lisa Ohayon — Office Manager
Lisa is often the first voice you hear when you call SAC. She handles customer communications, coordinates bookings, and manages the front-end documentation. Lisa knows our customers, remembers their preferences, and is the reason so many of them feel like they're dealing with a company that actually knows who they are — because she does.
Lyudmila — Cross-Border & CSR
Lyudmila manages SAC's cross-border documentation and customer service operations. She handles the CBSA and customs paperwork, coordinates with bonded agents on both sides, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks on every international shipment.
What every SAC customer can expect — without exception.
Company-owned and operated fleet — our trucks, our drivers.
SAC owns every truck and employs every driver. Our drivers are vetted before hire, trained to our standard, and required to maintain a clean driving record. We do not use load boards, and we do not hand your vehicle to anyone we don't know.
Electronic inspection report and photo survey at pickup.
Your vehicle's condition is documented in photographs before it moves. You receive a copy. This is your protection — a thorough record of your vehicle's condition, documented in photographs across all accessible panels and surfaces.
Proactive email updates at every key milestone.
Loading confirmation, transit status, and delivery notification — sent to you by our team without you having to ask.
Door-to-door service, every time.
Door-to-door is our service: we come to your address for pickup and deliver to your destination. On the Florida run, Toronto-area customers can bring the car to our Vaughan yard on the Friday instead and save $150.
Final inspection at delivery.
Your vehicle's condition confirmed at delivery against the pickup inspection report.
One team, one point of contact.
Same team from booking to delivery. No hand-offs to strangers, no load boards.
Honest, transparent pricing.
The number we quote is the number you pay, with no hidden fees. Our fuel surcharge is shown on its own line, and if it ever changes, we tell you in advance and you can cancel at no charge.
$5 million liability and $1 million cargo insurance.
Well above the industry norm of $750,000 liability and $250,000 cargo.
A real person answers every call.
This is the one we're most proud of.
Enclosed transport available on request.
Our standard service uses open car carriers. For specialty, classic, or high-value vehicles requiring enclosed transport — limited availability, higher cost. Call us to discuss.
Fully licensed and certified on both sides of the border.
SAC holds a valid CVOR (Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration) in Ontario, is registered with the FMCSA in the United States, and works with licensed bonded customs brokers on both ends of every cross-border shipment. You can request proof of any of these credentials at any time.
