What It Costs at the Border
Coming north, every vehicle entering Canada carries a $100 customs brokerage fee for the licensed and bonded clearance that brings it home, and it is on your quote from the start. A vehicle on US plates coming to Ontario carries $200 on top of the $100: it travels into bond and clears at the Mississauga Bond Shed rather than our depot, where you complete the clearance and collect it in person, and the Bond Shed’s release and storage fees are paid to them directly. For other provinces, where it clears depends on the route our dispatch sets, and we confirm it when you book.
Going south into the US, there is no customs brokerage fee.
What You Provide
- Your passport
- The vehicle’s ownership or title
- Proof of insurance
- The customs forms we send you, completed
For a US-titled vehicle, the original title or a certified copy has to reach us before pickup, because US Customs needs it at least 72 hours before the vehicle is exported. Every vehicle has to be compliant with the rules of the country it is being imported into. We confirm the exact list for your vehicle when you book, and the detailed lists below show what each type of move usually needs.
